This boldly designed house was planned on a extremely large steep slope which required pilot-driving.
KBoldly designed house with a large overhang
- located at the top of a hill
- with large overhang
- Xlam construction
- Timber structure assembled in only three days
The basement is partially dug in and executed in reinforced concrete and brick. The ground floor and the upper floor are executed in a combination of steel and Xlam solid timber panels. In light of the very open floor plan and large openings for builders’ joinery, the combination of these two materials proved to be optimum. Although the assembly process was complex, the upper part of the house was erected in only three days.
